Meet Suzanne
I'm Suzanne Lavoie Dell’Orfano, a psychotherapist with a decade of experience dedicated to postpartum adjustment, inspired to support new mothers through a series of seven nurturing journals for their first year of motherhood. My clinical expertise, enriched by my own journey as a mom, emphasizes the necessity for supportive, nurturing spaces for women navigating the transition to motherhood. These journals, born from observing the isolation many mothers feel, provide a private means for them to explore their feelings, aiming to alleviate loneliness and foster understanding.
Based in Maryland with a practice licensed in both Washington State and Maryland, my background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Maternal Mental Health shapes these journals. Educated at the University of Washington, Seattle, with postgraduate training at Seattle Children’s Hospital, my goal is to make a tangible difference in the postpartum experience, offering mothers a tool for comfort and self-discovery.
